The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority (SCRCA) has granted its 2023 Scholarships to four exceptional students, with two of them being graduates from Strathroy District Collegiate Institute.
The conservation scholarship program recognizes graduating high school students dedicated to conservation-related studies, with exemplary academic records and environmental involvement.
Annabelle Rayson from St. Patrick’s Catholic Secondary School and Olivia Grubb from Lambton-Kent Composite School received the 2023 A.W. Campbell Memorial Scholarship.
Annabelle will study Environmental Sciences and Engineering at Harvard University, while Olivia is enrolled in the Bachelor of One Health program at the University of Guelph.
Brynn Dugdale from Strathroy District Collegiate Institute earned the Tony Stranak Conservation Scholarship, and Rebecca Adema, also from Strathroy District Collegiate Institute, received the Mary Jo Arnold Conservation Scholarship.
Brynn will pursue Environmental Sciences at the University of Guelph, and Rebecca will study Biology at Western University.
SCRCA Chair Pat Brown presented the awards, expressing pride in supporting these students’ environmental endeavors.
Anticipating their vital role in addressing local and global environmental challenges, Brown commended their contributions to the community and conservation efforts.
