The big screen is coming to Strathroy-Caradoc. At a recent Council, they received a report and accepted a recommendation from the Community Development Advisory Committee to allow the Progress Through Partnership Program to spend $3000 on an outdoor movie screen and equipment. Mainstreet Credit Union has offered $4000 to purchase equipment and pay for movie rights. The PTP program as part of the approved Terms of Reference can provide up to 50% of the cost of the project estimated at $6000. This begins the process now of staff running “Movies in the Park” throughout the municipality this summer.
