Cell phones across the province will be chiming today May 10th, as Alert Ready, Canada’s Emergency Alert System, will be running a test.
The test will take place in Ontario at 12:55pm over television, radio and compatible wireless devices.
Regular testing helps to ensure that the Alert Ready system operates as intended during an imminent life-threatening situation.
The next test is scheduled for November.
