Strathroy-Caradoc Mayor Colin Grantham and Minister of Labour Monte McNaughton participated in a ground-breaking ceremonies for the Building Foundations Project on Friday afternoon. The initiative is a partnership between the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation, the municipality, and the construction technology students at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School. The students involved with the project will work under general contractor J F Homes to construct two semi-detached residences, on lots donated by the Municipality. Upon completion of the project, proceeds will support the SMGH Foundation, as well as contributing to the purchase of new equipment for the hospital.
Julie McBrien, Middlesex Hospital Alliance President and CEO, says “Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital is incredibly grateful to benefit from this unique initiative and exciting partnership. The hospital has ongoing needs for new equipment, and vital future projects, which will improve patient care and experiences for the patients and families we serve”.
Many community -partners have shown their support, including JF Home Construction, Moffatt & Powell RONA, Synergy Realty, Brandon Home Designs, AGM, Rostenberg Welding, Signs and Design, Clark-Haasen Electric, Premier Heating and Cooling, Redding Designs and Milwaukee Tool.
