In neighbouring Adelaide Metcalfe Township the mayor’s seat for the municipal elections was already settled a while ago as incumbent Kurtis Smith withdrew from the election leaving an acclaimed Susan Clarke as the new Mayor elect. Four seats needed to be filled for council and they were won by Mike Brodie who had the most votes with 581, followed by Arend Noordohf, Betty Ann MacKinnon and Garett Kingma.
