The nomination period for municipal elections has come to a close, and myFM continues to preview candidates for the October election. Sandi Hipple, is running for a 2nd term in Ward 2 where current councillors Neil Flegel and Larry Cowan are not running again. That means if Hipple is successful, she will have the most experience in Ward Two and only in her 2nd term and she will be running against 6 other new faces to the political arena. When asked about the potential divide between Ward 2 and Ward 1 that many residents have voiced over the last few years, Hipple says she will continue to work hard to be their voice.
Hipple feels there is some sore feelings from residents in the Mount Brydges and Melbourne area and she thinks maybe this concern has grown from past years.
She says to combat this, she can only help by researching, working hard and trying to figure out what is going on and not going on while trying to fix the damage. If you would like to reach out to Hipple, you can call or text her at (519) 902 9196. Here is the complete interview with Ward Two candidate Sandi Hipple.
