The Alvinston Pro Rodeo is back this weekend after 2 years away due to the pandemic. With over 200 cowgirls and cowboys, it’ll spin your spurs. Dan Cumming, the president of the rodeo says it’s an event you don’t want to miss.

The Brooke-Alvinston Watford Fair board was inspired by two local rodeo world champions, Tyler Foster and Rod Weese. Tyler Foster recently won the title of International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA) World Champion Steer Wrestler and Rod Weese won the title of International Finals Rodeo champion Steer Wrestler.
The Alvinston Pro Rodeo will again team up with the award-winning Rawhide Rodeo Company to play host to over 200 professional cowboys and cowgirls from the International Professional Rodeo Association. Cowboys and cowgirls will be representing many different countries (including Canada, the United States, Brazil and Australia) and will be competing for top prize on their race to be crowned champion! Spectators to this event will be in for an exciting rodeo weekend which will include concessions, vendors, live music, a beer gardens, a Father’s Day breakfast, and live Professional Rodeo. The Alvinston Pro Rodeo is fun for all ages, rain or shine!
Rodeo events include: Bareback Bronc Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Breakaway Roping, Tie-Down Roping, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Jr. Steer Riding, Jr. Barrel Racing and everyone’s favourite…Bull Riding! Plus clowns, acts, bullfighters and more!
