Get your walking shoes on, because the Crohn’s and Colitis Canada Gutsy Walk is back in Alexandra Park this Sunday, with the kick-off at 11am. Crohn’s and Colitis are an inflammatory bowel disease that affects everyone of every age. It’s a life long condition that causes parts of the digestive system to become inflamed. Kevin Eagleson, President of the Strathroy Affiliate is ready to get back to the normal walk.
The walk is a 5K trek through the park, but there is a half way point for people who would like to take it easy and go for a stroll. Every dollar raised through the Gutsy Walk helps Crohn’s and Colitis Canada in the effort to Raise awareness of the diseases, Provide support for patients and their families, Advocate to governments and stakeholders on behalf of those affected by Crohn’s and colitis, Fuel research that will lead to more effective treatments, and ultimately, the cures.
