Saulsbury Park playground is getting a facelift. Strathroy-Caradoc Council approved the revitalization as part of the 2021 capital budget. Staff talked to a landscape architect who developed two concepts and added public consultation. Director of Community Services Rob Lilbourne says residents have chosen a theme for the park.
Half basketball courts are in the talks for the play structure as well for older youth. Council received a report and approved PlayPower LT Canada INC. to supply and install the playground and equipment at Saulsbury Park with a price tag of just over $218,000 ($218,118.55) plus HST, the project is coming in under budget ($350,000.00)
Due to delays in delivery of equipment, this project will not be fully completed until the fall of 2022. Most work including the relocation of the existing equipment, walking loop, and fit benches will be completed by mid July. The project is scheduled to start in mid May.
