As myFM reported last week, the Strathroy Pride Group reached out to council about installing a rainbow crosswalk downtown. Council is on board but wanted to take a closer look at a cost analysis for the proposed crosswalk. Director with Strathroy Pride Frank Emanuele tells us it’s all about showing everyone how inclusive the community is.
Emanuele says despite the community being very safe there is always room for improvement.
When myFM ran the original story, it was met with plenty of positive comments on social media but also much negative comments, and Emanuele says he hopes that people will take time to educate themselves, change their minds and focus on the positives moving forward.
