This decision has been made given that staffing shortages combined with inclement weather pose a challenge in ensuring the safety of students. Our preference is to avoid combining classes, where possible, because of the pandemic.
We recognize that the closure of schools will have an impact on families who may be unable to care for their child at home. On-site Child Care Centres will remain open. Before/After School Programs will be closed.
Students attending the above schools ONLY will temporarily transition to weather-related remote learning. Students will be able to access independent learning activities from their classroom’s digital platform. Live or synchronous learning opportunities may also be able to be provided. Check your child’s digital platform at the beginning of the school day for more details.
