Last week in the case around the death of Strathroy toddler Nathaniel McLellan, the Strathroy woman who is charged with manslaughter changed representation causing a delay in the case proceedings. London criminal lawyer Jenny Prosser has been retained now by Strathroy’s Meggin Van Hoof replacing lawyer Peter Downing. Due to Prosser’s request for some time to go over the case, the court set December 16th as a return date possibly to set a trial date. Back in June, the 42-year-old Van Hoof was charged in the 2015 death of Nathaniel. She was ironically arrested one week after a Toronto Star series called Death in a Small Town focusing on the case was published.
