The Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department has added some new faces to the team this month, with a new Deputy Fire Chief and a new Training Officer. Fire Chief Brent Smith says that with how much Strathroy-Caradoc is changing, its only natural that the department change with it.
Chief Smith did say that due to the growth of the area, the department is always looking to expand. When asked if the department could be looking to bring on some paid firefighters, the Chief said all doors are open, and they want to ensure they bring the best service to the community that they can. He did add that at the end of the day, the decision is in councils hands.
