It’s been decades but starting tonight the return of the Strathroy Jets hockey team will be complete. The Jets will play out of the Western Ontario Super Hockey League and will be comprised of players you used to watch play Junior hockey in town years ago. The buzz around town since the announcement of the Jets returning isn’t a surprise to General Manager Bob Lalich.
Lalich says the roster looks good and has a lot of local connections too.
Lalich says Friday nights at the WMMC will be family oriented.
Former Rockets Matt Laberge, Tyler Kettler and Jake Alkins started the process of the Jets returning. On the bench will be Co-coaches Mark Van Geffen and Scott Alkins and the Jets regular season home opener will be Friday October 8th at 7;30pm at the West Middlesex Memorial Centre. Tonight’s exhibition game is closed to fans.
