Over the past couple years, the number of homeless people in Middlesex County has increased quite a bit. Strathroy has become a central location for these people as most of their resources are located in town.
Josh Smith, the County Community Navigator, whose role was created as one step in trying to find a solution to this issue, says that two of these things are affordability and accessibility.
Smith adds that there are other thing in place to help find solutions to the homeless issue, one being the Strathroy Motor Inn being used right now as housing.
Smith said that if you or a loved one become homeless, the best thing you can do is reach out to the resources available for help and guidance.
