Last year the Glencoe Fair couldn’t run because of the COVID-19 pandemic, so they had a 50/50 draw instead. It ended up with a bigger pot than expected, with the winner walking away with around $184,000. They have brought the draw back this year hoping to raise money once again, and give back to the community.
Jeremy Gough, the past president of the Glencoe Fair, said that on top of the 50/50 draw, they will be holding smaller events leading up the traditional weekend the fair would take place which would have been the weekend of September 25th. Wednesday the 22nd will have a chicken dinner, Thursday the 23rd a scarecrow making contest, Friday the 24th with food trucks and live music, and Saturday the 25th there will be fireworks.
Gough added that they are grateful for all of the support they have gotten over the past year from the community.
Tickets start at $10, and the draw will be taking place on September 24th at 8:00pm. There will also be 3 early bird draws for $1000. Learn about ticket pricing, and where to buy at our website.
