The new Fair Grounds All Wheels Park has officially broken ground at its official location between Sleepy Hollow Railway and the Tennis Courts. The Rotary Club, local dignitaries, Suncor and Aamjiwnaang Chippewas of Sarnia First Nation, were all on hand at the Fair Grounds yesterday in the official project kick off. Rob Lilbourne, Director of Community Services for Strathroy-Caradoc says that the 16,000 square foot park will hopefully be done by next fall.
Lilbourne says the park itself will be about the size of an ice rink.
Mayor Joanne Vanderheyden was on hand at the ground breaking and said that she is looking forward to seeing the park come to life.
The Rotary Club has committed $200,000 for the park.
