The Downtown Strathroy Market kicks off this Saturday, May 22nd and will be running every Saturday until Thanksgiving weekend. The Market will run from 8am – noon on Frank Street in front of Town Hall with the entrance at James Street and as the market gets bigger, it will extend all the way to Front Street.
As for the COVID-19 guidelines, Laura Gabriel, a board member for the market, says that the province’s guidelines are clear.
Local farmers, popular food vendors, crafters and more will be available at the market.
The board is hopeful that as the summer goes on and restrictions are lifted, more will become available to visitors like a kids area and live performances. Unfortunately, the kids bouncy house that has been there in years past will not be making an appearance this year, but there is hope that other kids activities will open up.
