Local Police seize $140,000 in illegal Cannabis. Strathroy-Caradoc Police tell us on Tuesday April 27th, around midnight, an officer was on patrol in the area Drury Lane at Saulsbury Street when the officer saw a man on a bicycle towing a small utility trailer westbound on Saulsbury Street. The man was wearing dark pants, with a dark hooded jacket. The hood was covering his face. The officer saw the suspect strike a garbage bin and the utility trailer became detached from the bicycle. When the officer approached the man he fled from the scene leaving the trailer full of Marijuana behind. Police seized 31 pounds of dried Marijuana with a street value estimated at $140,740. Although Marijuana is now legal to possess, this amount is in contravention of the Cannabis Control Act and suspected to be used to sell illegally. Police are continuing to investigate this incident.
