$4.8 million is coming to the municipality of Lambton Shores for work in Grand Bend. The money is earmarked for the over 60-year-old Ontario Street Bridge project. Mayor Bill Weber tells myFM that work will be done to replace and widen the bridge.
Weber adds that this project is a long time coming so the municipality has some funds set aside to help complete the project. The hope is to start a phase this fall with more work continuing during off-peak times to limit the impact on tourism.
