Major Jason Dannock and his wife Captain Sharon are the new heads of Strathroy Salvation Army following the retirement of Roland and Lorraine Shea. myFM spoke to Jason Monday during his first day, while his wife was not in the office. He said he joined the Salvation Army in 2002, after feeling a sense of calling to the organization.
Their most recent posting was in northern Ontario, in New Liskeard. Dannock is originally from Australia but came to Canada after meeting Canadian-born Sharon, while in Russia. Together they have three children. He says they’re very excited to get started and are getting a feel for the community and what the gaps are they hope to fill.
