An announcement Friday of just over $1 million in federal funding for rehabilitation of Shiloh Line in Brooke-Alvinston is an example of cooperation amongst three levels of government for a critical infrastructure project. Brooke-Alvinston Mayor David Ferguson notes the importance of the roadway on a number of levels.
Ferguson stresses projects of this magnitude cannot be undertaken without financial assistance from higher levels of government.
Ferguson stresses projects of this stature cannot be undertaken by smaller municipalities without outside funding, especially with cuts to provincial funding over recent years. He says the rehabilitation of Shiloh Line likely will begin next spring.
