myFM has an update for you on the recent two-car collision involving an alleged impaired driver last Friday in Adelaide Metcalfe where 8-year-old Nihal Toor of London died as a result of her injuries sustained with four other people taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Alicia Van Bree, 33 of Strathroy was charged with operation while impaired and operation causing death. Police have since learned that a second adult passenger had sustained injuries that required further medical care. Van Bree has since been charged with an additional offence of Operation causing bodily harm. The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear in a London court on August 27th to speak to the charges. The OPP wants to remind the public that crashes involving alcohol and/or drugs are a leading criminal cause of death in Canada. The OPP will continue to target impaired and aggressive drivers who put our roadways and communities at risk.
