
For the most part, people respected the COVID-19 regulations in the beach town of Grand Bend over the long weekend, according to Lambton Shores mayor Bill Weber, who also noted the weather also helped out.
He says generally the local community have respected the guidelines put in place and understand that they have to stay away now if they want a summer later. Weber added they’re going to hear what the province has to say for when beaches will re-open and what measures they advise for when that day comes, noting it’s one of those things that are harder to regulate, similar to public washrooms.
