Lambton County council covered a lot of ground during Wednesday’s meeting. Members approved a motion of lending formal support for the application
for Free Trade Zone status by the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce. Council also carried a motion to provide Enbridge with a letter of support for
an application to the Ontario Energy Board for the 2021 Sarnia Industrial Pipeline Reinforcement Project. A motion providing interim direction for 2019 tax capping was carried and there was consensus to renew the City/County Agreement for another five year term. Council is breaking for the summer and doesn’t meet again in open session until the first Wednesday of September.
