REMEMBRANCE DAY TO BE CELEBRATED IN THREE MUNICIPAL SPOTS SUNDAY
11/9/2018 7:30:45 AM

November 11th falls on Sunday, meaning the Strathroy Legion will have just a single ceremony this year in Strathroy, but there will be one in Mt. Brydges and Melbourne Sunday as well. Sergeant At Arms and Remembrance Day parade Commander Doug Damude says it's obvious how important the moment at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month is but it's always good to remind the younger generations.

Damude expects about 50 wreaths to be laid during this year's ceremony.
There will also be the ringing of the bells 100 times starting at 4:45 p.m at the cenotaph to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ending of World War 1.
