WHO'S RUNNING IN STRATHROY-CARADOC ELECTION

There is a long list of Candidates in the Strathroy-Caradoc Municipal election this year. Running for Mayor is incumbent Mayor Joanne Vanderheyden who was elected back in 2010. Running against her is Brad Bock and Brian Derbyshire. For Deputy Mayor, incumbent Brad Richards is seeking re-election against Mike McGuire. In Ward 1, incumbents Steve Pelkman, Marie Baker and John Brennan are all on the ballot, as well as Ian Nunn, Carlos Farpelha, Rick McLean, Frank Kennes and Putts Strybosch. Down the road in Ward 2 incumbents Larry Cowan and Neil Flegel are competing against Sandi Hipple, Carrie Kinsman, Roman Lalich and Edward Timson. Four candidates are elected by Ward 1 residents, three candidates by Ward 2 residents, and a Mayor and Deputy Mayor by the entire municipality. More information about school board trustees can be found on Strathroy-Caradoc.ca. Online and telephone voting opens at 9:00 am on October 15th.
