9/13/2018 7:06:10 AM

Two men, one from Strathroy have been arrested and charged stemming from a pair of break-ins at a St. Thomas sanctioned marijuana grow-operation. St. Thomas Police say thieves broke into the compound of a licensed cannabis grower on Tuesday morning, took off with 30 plants before Police got there. They came back later that night with a rented U-Haul truck but were unsuccessful as they were scared off by the grow operator where they were caught and arrested nearby at 4am. Police say a 24-year-old London man, and a 23-year-old Strathroy man are charged with theft under $5,000. Police did not disclose the name of the grow-op location but did say the break-ins happened at a small-scale grower, rather than a commercial one.
