A special project taken on by a single Londoner will take 45 residents of the Forest City all the way to Grand Bend for a day at the beach, it's called Bend Bus London. Matthew Thomas moved to London 5 years ago and practically made the beach in Grand Bend his second home for his canoeing and kayaking hobbies, and felt that more people needed simpler access to Ontario's west coast.
Thomas says that after years of tweeting about how a bus line to the coastal town needs to happen, he decided to take matters into his own hands. He decided to rent a school bus and deliver people himself. The round trip route runs every other weekend and started this past weekend and only costs $20 for tickets. Tickets are available on eventbrite.ca or by searching Bend Bus London or Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
