This past week saw some pretty brutal temperatures. It's safe to say that almost all of us were sweating due to this heat, but some people felt the sun a little more than others. Jay Loosley, Superintendant of Education for Middlesex County Paramedic Services, says that our local EMS were prepared for any calls that came in regarding the heat.

Loosley adds that most calls over the weekend made about heat resulted in people going to hospital. He also says that it's hard to guess how many actual calls may have been related to the heat. He recommends that during this hot summer, he wants to remind everyone to stay hydrated, stay cool, and be safe.
