LOCAL POLICE WARN OF LEAVING KIDS AND PETS IN HOT VEHICLES
6/13/2018 9:26:22 AM

With the weather heating up Strathroy-Caradoc Police are reminding residents not to leave their children or animals in hot cars. It is a simple concept echoed every year, but every year it still ends up being a problem.
Constable Mark Thuss wants to remind you that if you leave a child or animal locked in a hot car, it could have dire consequences.

If you see an animal or child locked in a car and in distress, call the police. After you call the police, the dispatcher will talk you through your next steps. Remember, even if you're only going to be "a few minutes" it's still dangerous to leave your kids or pets in a hot car, as temperatures can rise very quickly and cause serious illness, or even death.
