LOCAL POLICE INVESTIGATING PAIR OF TRUCK THEFTS

    Strathroy-Caradoc Police are investigating a pair of truck thefts. Sometime in the overnight hours of January 21st and 22nd a black 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pick up truck was stolen from a driveway on Allen Road Mt. Brydges. The truck is described as a Z71 4X4, black in colour with a fish skeleton sticker in the rear glass of the cab. Ontario Licence plate number AB 63892. Police say a week later on Friday February 2nd around 5am, Police went to a residence on Queen Street for a report of a break and enter. Police say unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through an unlocked rear door, stole a set of keys for the home owners pick up truck, entered a detached garage and stole some personal items, then entered an unlocked trailer and stole several power tools. A grey 2015 Dodge Ram pick up truck Ontario licence plate number AC41527 was also stolen. Police were checking the area and located a 2005 Toyota, 4 door grey, on fire. The vehicle was identified as being stolen out of London. It was completely destroyed by fire. At approximately 1pm that day, Strathroy-Caradoc Police were notified that London City Police had recovered the stolen Dodge pick up in London on Trossacks Avenue.
