A total of 120 municipalities across the province will receive funding for new bike lanes and other cycling infrastructure. In total, funding for the program is at $93 million, an increase from the $42.5 million announced earlier this year. According to Strathroy-Caradoc CAO Greg McLinchey, discussions surrounding bike lanes have been in the works for a while.

This investment is part of Ontario's Climate Change Action Plan and is funded by proceeds from the province's cap on pollution and carbon market. It is expected that Strathroy-Caradoc will be receiving $165, 874.
