A great holiday season campaign is going on right now. It's the National campaign where LCBO donates 100% of proceeds from the Giving Back In Our Community campaign to local charities. Half of the proceeds go to MADD Canada and with the other half going to charities that are selected by LCBO head office. This year's Campaign Ambassador locally is Strathroy resident Lexi McCullough. Lexi was born in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children's Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre and mom Nicole says she had a battle from the start.

For almost 19 years, LCBO has chosen to include Children's Health Foundation as a recipient of a portion of the proceeds from its "Giving Back In Our Community" fundraising program. The campaign involves cashiers at LCBO stores throughout Canada inviting customers to add a $2, $5 or $10 donation to their purchases, and there are donation boxes displayed at the checkout counters as well. In 2016, their Giving Back In Our Community campaign raised $293,397.80. This year they expect to raise over $250,000 with the funds will be designated to specific programs/equipment at Children's Hospital. The campaign wraps up December 31st and for 2017, the proceeds will be designated towards the NICU and Pediatric Injury Prevention.
