Strathroy-Caradoc is getting some outside perspective on how to tackle issues affecting our Community. Mayor Joanne Vanderheyden signed a 3-year agreement with the South African Town of MBizana to share information about what we as a municipality are good at, and what we could improve on. Chief Administrative Officer Greg McClinchey says the signing of the deal is the start of a relationship that will only benefit Strathroy-Caradoc.

He adds that the plan works in 3 phases, the first step is a research phase that will determine what each municipality needs in terms of local economic development, the second is finding a model that can spur small business growth, and the final step is to find ways to help turn that growth into a sustainable model that ensures business success.
