413 PEOPLE CHARGED REGARDING 'MOVE OVER' LAW
8/11/2017 11:46:12 AM

The OPP cracked down the whip over the long weekend.

Over the Civic Day Long Weekend, officers were heavily enforcing the 'Move Over' law, which states drivers must slow down or move over one lane if an emergency vehicle or tow truck are parked at the side of the road with their lights activated.

413 people ended up facing a hefty fine and loss of demerit points for failing to follow this law.

Sadly, the OPP reported that they also responded to three road-related deaths over the weekend in Peterborough County, Lanark County and Southern Georgian Bay.
