The summer is nearly over, but Ontario Provincial Police are continuing to issue summer safety warnings.
OPP Media Relations Officer Jamie Stanley tells myFM news that drivers need to keep in mind that more children are out and about.

Stanley adds that parents need to ensure that their child is always safe, especially when it comes to water safety, bike safety, and stranger safety.
He says despite living in a very safe area, it is important for children to know what to do if they are approached by a stranger. Parents should teach children to never accept a ride from an unknown person or to help someone they don't know find a lost pet, as those can be ploys.
