Middlesex General Hospital has rolled out a new program helping children living with Celiac disease. The program called the Middlesex Family Celiac Kids Club allows parents to be informed about C-D while allowing children to interact in a friendly social environment. Registered Dietician at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Kim Felker, goes over exactly what celiac disease is.

Felker also says that gluten can also be found in certain products like the coating of tea bags, medicine tablets and certain tooth pastes. The Club's next family meeting is scheduled for September 11th. Topics will include, common nutritional deficiencies in children with C-D and how to minimize the risk and how to replenish.
