The crackling fire, the sounds of nature, the smells of trees and grass. Some have waited through a seemingly never-ending cold winter to get to this long weekend where they can head out and enjoy nature. While some are camping pros, for others this is a new adventure and something you should not take for granted. Sheila Wiebe, Parks Marketing Specialist, says it's best for all campers to prepare for what mother nature may throw your way.
A lot of provincial parks are either booked solid or have limited space this weekend. Wiebe noted that right now an alcohol ban is in place at most Provincial Parks so if your weekend plans did involve a nice cold beer you may want to reconsider what you are packing.
