Well Strathroy-Caradoc has a new Chief Administrative Officer as of Monday and he is Greg McClinchey who was introduced to Council Monday night. He has taken over the responsibility of overseeing the operation of the municipality following in the steps of soon to retire Interim CAO Ralph Coe. McClinchey says Southwestern Ontario is where he and his wife grew up and their family is eager to be returning to a place they know so well.

Born and raised on a small farm in southern Ontario, McClinchey served 25 years as a senior aide to a number of public officials including the House of Commons Agriculture Committee Chair, a former Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, and a former provincial Minister of Agriculture. Greg has also worked as a senior farm news editor, radio broadcaster, political pundit, and as a North Huron Municipal Councillor. he beat out 45 other candidates from across the nation and he is an active member in groups such as the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, Scouts Canada, and the Masonic Lodge.
