The Thedford Library is hosting a babysitting course put on by the Canadian Red Cross over the March break. The course takes place Friday from 9am-4pm at the Thedford Library. Canadian Red Cross Training Partner, Sandi Stead says participants will learn all about staying at home by themselves, first aid, going to other people's houses, safety tips before leaving a house, how to handle changes, misbehaving children, and what to do if they feel unsafe. Stead says that there is no legal obligation to take the course before babysitting.

Participants are asked to pre-register, and the cost to register is $40 but everyone gets a manual to keep which is discussed, and they get lots of equipment to use throughout the day. Anyone 11 years of age or older is asked to call the Thedford Library to register at 519-296-4244.
