A special weather statement has been issued for Strathroy and Middlesex County. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to come into the region Tuesday night (February 28). Rain in the amount 15 to 25 mm is expected, however higher amounts are possible.

The worth of Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital came to the forefront yet again last week as Ron Kok and Al Ferreira presented $2000 to the SMGH Foundation in memory of Al's brother Jaime Rodrigues Ferreira. Al says it was the least they could do for the care his brother received.

On Friday, Caradoc Sands Golf Club in Strathroy hosted a Leaders Luncheon put on by the Strathroy and District Chamber of Commerce. Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Monte McNaughton and Strathroy-Caradoc Mayor Joanne Vanderheyden were guest speakers at the event.
