CANADA DAY IN NORTH MIDDLESEX

This year's North Middlesex Canada Day Celebration is taking place at Ken Vernon Park in Parkhill on July 1st. The celebration beginning at 5 p.m. will feature lots of free different activities including children's games, live music and food.

OPP MIDDLESEX AIR BLITZ

Air enforcement hits Middlesex County. On Wednesday of last week, OPP hit the skies with a traffic blitz along the 401 corridor in Middlesex County on both east and west bound lanes from 9am-1pm and Police used their Cessna 206 to target aggressive drivers.

Wednesday night was a very special night for many people as VON Middlesex-Elgin held their AGm and awards night at the Lamplighter in London. Two of the many awards handed out went to two dedicated Strathroy-Caradoc residents. Sandra Pearson was honoured with the VON Canada Award of Distinction.

ROCKETS AUCTION AND GOLF CLASSIC JUST WEEKS AWAY

The Strathroy Rocket's biggest fundraiser returns next month for two days with their Silent and Live Auction and golf tournament July 13th and 14th. General Manager of the Rockets Mike Bondy says the event itself is rewarding but also helps the team for the season.

Strathroy-Caradoc Police Services are investigating three break and enters. The first occurred on June 3rd on Glendon Drive where officers say a male and female were spotted trying to break into a home through a basement window.

A brand new event is coming to Grand Bend this weekend for those of you who love to drive to the beach. The Grand Bend Beachfest which is replacing the annual Drive N Jive event takes place on Saturday, June 24 at the Grand Bend Main Beach and runs from noon until midnight.
